These Classes and Workshops provide a foundation for your exploration into the fine art and craft of creating textiles.
Learn the basics of weaving on a 4 shaft floor or table loom to create a small mat for your table, or to sew into a small coin purse or phone pouch, a scarf or table runner. Focus is on introduction to loom weaving techniques with colors and patterns.

Beginner Workshops vary from 2-3 hour Afternoon Sessions to 6 hour Full Day Classes
Advanced Workshops to Learn How to Thread and Set Up a Loom are 2-4 Full Day Sessions
Personalized individual and small group classes (1-6) can also be arranged to fit your schedule.

About Your Instructor
Amy C. Lund has been working with textiles most of her life, beginning with handspinning yarn to knitting, weaving and other aspects of the fiber arts, in history and art museums both demonstrating and in collections management. She completed a Masters in Science Degree in Textiles and Related Art from the University of Rhode Island in 1993, eventually starting a weaving studio and gallery for teaching and creating artisan handspun yarns, hand knit and handwoven accessories and home decor textiles (scarves, handbags, table linens, blankets, rugs, tapestries), mixed media fiber art collages, textile repair and restoration work. |
